We can do this. Millions of people drink coffee every single day. Maybe Billions! If even a fraction of us switched to shade-grown, imagine the benefits to the environment! And it tastes better! Shade grown coffee beans mature more slowly than the sun-grown alternative. Natural sugars increase and enhance the flavor of the coffee. It’s a win-win.

Coffee and tobacco are sprayed with more chemicals than anything else we humans consume. Shade grown coffee requires little or no chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. That means none of that poison in the coffee beans! And another bonus, most shade grown coffee is organic and fair-trade.

It helps the birds! Sun-grown coffee destroys vital habitat. Shade-grown coffee is natural, non-destructive and is actually the traditional way coffee was grown before modern farming practices began to destroy habitat at such an alarming rate.
